Ministry

Matthew515.com is not just about discussion and examination of the Truth.  Matthew515.com, as a ministry, has a duty to match words to deeds and to put faith into action.

14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.  This is James 2:14-17 and is a perfect example of what real faith in action looks like and it is this model that Matthew515 strives to emulate.

On this page are ministry opportunities that Matthew515.com supports with time and financial resources.  Your prayer and support of these ministries is greatly appreciated as we strive to reach the lost, feed the hungry and support those who need it most.

occOperation Christmas Child through Samaritan’s Purse

Operation Christmas Child shares the love of Christ through the giving of a shoebox filled with hygiene items, school supplies, and small toys and games.  The Samaritan’s Purse website says it best: “Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan’s Purse works with local churches and ministry partners to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ.”  Help us assist Samaritan’s Purse and Operation Christmas Child with your donation to Matthew515.com.

TBCpantry

This is part of the Taylorsville Baptist Church food pantry.  Taylorsville Baptist Church is a small, community focused church with a big heart for God that is focused on meeting physical and spiritual needs.

Despite its small size TBC feeds more than 20 hungry families twice a month from this small food pantry.  The members of TBC are faithful to give of their time and money to keep the pantry open and to keep feeding those who are in need.

The needs, however, are great.  Many of those who come for assistance are elderly and are using their Social Security to pay their bills and have very little if any left to feed themselves for the month.  That’s where you come in.

Your donation to the TBC food pantry through Matthew515.com will meet a genuine need and provide a great blessing to you, the giver.

37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and giveYou drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’  (Matthew 25: 37-40 NKJV)
